The KSEB took great effort to implement renewable energy based power generation in Kerala. The best result for this work is accomplished. The largest floating solar plant in India is installed in Banasura Sagar Reservoir.
The solar panels are kept on the Ferro-cement floaters. The total area covered by this project is 6000 square meters. The solar panels are highly efficient and produce almost 7.5 Lakh units of electricity annually. The panels have less amount of dust compared to other solar panels.
